I just love quercus robur, here in belgium it is also the only real endemic/native oak species. I just adore the power of the trees, they are robust, strong appearance, but in bonsai the can look quite sophisticated too especially a more mature one that combine the rough look with all those nice delicatie buds, that open up with such delicate nice brownred coulouered leaves that turn into a fresh green... just lovely trees

sorry, no pictures in leaves. This forest died after the terrible last winter.
