The Castle Tirol in the village Tirol in the provinde Tirol in Italy

This is where it all started. On a church which was built before the year 500 AD this castle was built around the year 1,150. It was called "Tirol". Later from here the whole region was called "Tirol" and up to today a mountain region in Austria and Italy is called "Tirol". Titoleans have their own very pronounced  German dialekt, their own culture and the feeling that they are somehow something special. Castle Tirol is located near Meran/Merano in Italy.
