European spruce #62

European spruce, Picea abies. Collected in Italy in 2009, first images as of September 2009 when I acquired it. The the fast progress on this one. Today I did the rough styling of the crown which made a tremendous difference, of course.

The tree will be left like this for three to four years. Then all the wire will go off and it will be totally wired again. At that time it will be carefully wired and look a lot better again. Eventually it will go int a much flatter pot in the new position turned one hour counter clock wise. In 2020 it will be wired for the third time and be show ready after this.
The last image is a virtual, showing how the tree would look in a final pot.
