mugo #12 resurrected

In spring of 2005 I styled this mugo pine and had the idea to place it onto this pot which was custom made for me by William Vlaanderen. As usually I was in a hurry and did it right away. You can see the the result looked quite promising. Well, the pine did not like the treatment at all and refused to cooperate afterwards. Most lower branches died and the whole thing was totally ruined. I was ready to bury it. In spring of 2008 vigor came back though. It looked healthy enough to work on it again. Now it has a second life an it is almost as good as the first one.

It is comforting to know that this sort of thing can also happen to a seasoned bonsai creator (and be fixed). I love looking and learning from you, sir.
