new pot for giant hornbeam

Today the huge hornbeam, Carpinus betulus, got a new pot. This was a long way from 2005 when it still stood in the growing field.
the pot is 105 cm long.

I am a huge fan of yours. I guess I will call myself a fan. That's the word that comes to mind. Your trees are amazing. I enjoy viewing your trees on the internet. I have always wanted to come and see you speak but I live too far away. I am from Cincinnati. I just want to thank you for posting blogs about you and your trees. You have inspired me to create many bonsai and I try to do it as good as you do. I hope one day I can have great trees like yours.

Thank you,
Justin

How do you treat your trees while they are in the ground?

Do you cut the roots around the tree every year or just let them grow freely?

Thank you,

Daniel

I let them grow for three or more years and then take them out and ruthlessly cut back roots and top.
