development of trident maple #1
As happy as I am wight this tree I still want to improve it. A bonsai can have won many awards and be world famous. But it still needs constant work to improve or stay at the same level at least. As one can see I edited the crown by cutting back a bit and cutting out some branches. Then I applied guy wires, lots of them. They do a function very well and quickly. The function is not to be beautiful. This will come when they get off in just about twelve months. Then it is supposed to look like no wire was ever applied and 'nature did it all'.
