Ezo spruce #2
Ezo spruce, Picea jezoensis, collected in Japan. The tree was fully wired in three days again. Probably the fifth full wiring in the career of this tree. Last image as of 2008, just before I got it.
It's hard to believe it's the same tree the transformation is so complete and in a relatively short period. Did you pick this yourself in Japan? What do Japanese think of what you did to it?

Stunning good work Walter as we know you ! It looks like a real old Picea, a very old tree with history.

I did not pick this in Japan. A friend of mine, a German bonsai dealer did.
I have no clue what Japanese people think of my work.
OMG....what a transformation! Johann has come a long way with your artistic and deft hands.
Walter, how old could this tree be?
