We have just had our first snow fall , but we had heavy frost first and all the pots were frozen , last winter it was frozen for 3 months so if they can survive that one im not worried . i lost five trees last year ,two white pines ,common myrtle , a cork oak and chinese elm , i dont think i will get any of these again

I love that second photo - don't get much snow here in Springfield Oregon - if we do it doesn't stay long. Got some early about a week ago....gone after a 24 hrs - will see what the rest of winter has in store. Have a great holiday season!

Are you giving special treatment to the Japanese White Pine you got from Mauro Stemberger?

No special treatment. These trees are quite hardy. I put it on the ground right next to the hose wall in semi-shade outside all winter.
