European spruce #71 brought one step further
European spruce, Picea abies, collected in spring of 2012 in Austria. This is an interesting tree as it has four tops and is very high and elegant. It could be a remarkable bosani some day. After having left alone this spruce for two vegetation periods I decided to clean it now. All small dead branches were removed, some green long branches were shortened, deadwood was edited. Now the tree will rest another year and hopefull grow well. The thick branches might be wired by the end of next summer. I will report.
