boxwood orgy

All these are Korean boxwood, Buxus microphylla Saunder's Dwarf, one is Kingsville variety. They are all beween 10 and 20 cm high, all shohin. These were selected from several hundred by myself last year. They are exactly one year in training. All in the naturalistic style. One typical feature of this style are the double fronts on all trees.

Resurrection of an elm group

Maria brought this Chinese elm group to me and wondered what to do with it. First we decided abut a much better pot. Then I spent a couple of hours cutting back severely, cleaning, working on the nebari, potting. Now the group looks very raw. This is the price one has to pay if a bonsai was negelected over more than ten years. But it will come back. The virtual shows the future outline of the crown.
