Walter,
to shorten the visual length of the branches, it looks like you bend the branches by as much as 180 degrees - is that correct? Back branch becomes front branch?

I'm just wondering how the foliage got to be back so close to the trunk on a mature spruce.

Super work. I love this tree.

well, it is not normal, you are right. So one has to find the specimen that gives these opprotunities. Go to my gallery and find this tree and it's development under 'conifers'
