Walter Pall's main blog about bonsai and his work with trees from day to day. Lots of good pictures of good trees and lots of valuable information about bonsai.
Beautiful maples, Walter. Do you use any kind of preservative/wood hardener to prevent additional rotting inside the hollow trunks of deciduous trees like the maple? Thanks,Al
Al,sometimes I do. but usually I do nothing at all. I WANT the inside to rot to get e deep natural hollow trunk. The tree does NOT mind, it does not harm to the tree contrary to public conviction. Healthy trees NEVER die of hollow rotting trunks. WP
