very cold outside

It became quite cold within the past couple days. This night we had minus 14 Celsius. This is getting too cold for the hornbeam which is waiting for the Noelanders Trophy. So I put it into the greenhouse.

Walter, I am a bit worried because this night we had -6, but we don't have snow in Italy now.

Since three days we are always below 0, all the rootballs are frosted.

Do you think it's still safe for pines, junipers, maples and Beeches?

Francesco,

minus 6 is still OK. I would be careful with beeches though. They are not very hardy in a pot.
