oriental hornbeam #13

Oriental hornbeam, Carpinus orientalis, collected in 2010 in Croatia. Now the future design becomes visible. It is in the fairy tale style. Don't write me that you find this an ugly bonsai. It is supposed to be ugly - in a nice way. It is a very old tree that now looks grotesque. He does not know it though, but the children live him. The last image shows what I mean. It does not make sense to judge such a tree according to bonsai rules, just as it makes no sense to judge a cow like it were a horse.
