larch with the ax and flowers on larch

The larch with the ax is doing very well. This year it has lots of flowers. The red ones are female and will bring a cone, the yellow ones are male. I leave cones on larches as I find them decorative. The little branchlet with the cone will become weak though and possibly die. Well, there are hundreds of branchlets on this larch by now.
