The fat hawthorn part 1
This hawthorn (Crataegus monogyna) originally comes from England, where they hack them out of ancient hedges. It came to Switzerland and was sitting in the offering area of Pisu Notter for many years. Nobody seemed to dare to tame the best. Well, it certainly does not lend itself to normal classical bonsai styling. But it could be a very interesting tree. So I bought it in fall of 2006.
