Walter Pall's main blog about bonsai and his work with trees from day to day. Lots of good pictures of good trees and lots of valuable information about bonsai.
Hi Walter,I have a 15 year old cherry plant with lots of small branches and countless leaves with a nice trunk. Really don't understand how to prune it. I confess that I find it hard to remove the branches!Nor does it bear fruit---only some flowers and 2-3 cherries! May you help please?Anita Sabharwal
Anita, that's hard to answer. Well, I cut the cherries like I cut ALL broadleaved trees. Have you read my article about the 'hedge cutting method'?
Of course I have read it...o yes, it may help a lot.I'am again going to read it.Thank you and regards.Anita Sabharwal
Sir, I read your article again and have decided to forget about the tree for some more months.I carefully observed my tree and concluded that instead of going for 'temporary beauty I must go for quality'as you have suggested. I, definitely was going to spoil my tree!Thank you.Anita Sabharwal
