N.b. all the sited silhoetes are conifers of a certain "cookie-cutter" style... I've no objection to a silhoete myself and find the proposed grid design boring but lets have a naturalistic deciduous tree for a change!

what's in a name. For everything is a way of explanation, but the above of the symbolic logo is crap. It's not even attractive, but again, it's a personal taste.
Blackphobos work is still the best. Simple, clear and attractive. Something that will stay in your mind.

I agree with what "Anonymous" said. Anything can be justified with a long enough explanation. A good design needs no explanation. A good design will invoke a feeling that leaves an impression on you (good or bad). Although I might agree with some of the explanations that logos should be iconic, and simple with few colors...the logo provided by Daniel is all too forgettable. It lacks creativity and is the antithesis of art. Walter will know his logo when he sees it. No explanation needed.
