new sabina juniper

This isn a sabina juniper, Juniperus sabina , from Spain. I brought it as a souvenir form my last trip to Mistral. It is recently collected, so it will take a few years before I can work on it. I am quite happy with this kind of material. this comes very close to Rocky Mountain Juniper as I have them in the USA, only that sabina has fine foliage like Itoigawa juniper.

How much of an understatement is 'quite happy'?

Just waiting. Sabinas take a long time to get ready. This will be about five more years.
