Maidenhair oak

This maidenhair oak (Quercus pubescens) is also doing fine. It still neeeds more ramification and the lower branches have to get much thicker. This will take more than 20 years though. A good reason to grow old for me.

Hello Walter,
I have been looking at this great tree for a long time. I hope you put some new post on the net. Concerning the thin lower branches: Why dont you let the branches grow long for some years and then cut them back?
They will, as you often said already, grow thiker. The backbudding on oaks is not so bad?

Greetings Boris

Boris, what do you think I have been trying to do in the past years?
