Please ignore my ignorance but, is it allowed to find and dig out yamadori like those or do you need to ask permission to any kind of authorities?
of course you need permission. You have to know that these junipers are poisinous. The cows get seriosly ill when they eat it. So the farmers hack them out whenever they see them. If you ask a farmer for permission you will always get it.
