repotting of the big scots pine - part 9

I worked on the deadwood and especially on the huge stump then. At the moment it looks very man made, but I think this will look much better in a few months. When it si dry I will work with fire and then brush off the charcoal.
I am kind of happy with the tree now. While it lookes quite untidy (mind you NOT naturalistic!) it will look much better after wiring again. Since we repotted the tree in April, wiring can only take place in late summer if the tree looks very healthy then. It will finally look very good, I am sure. Progress wil be reported here. Stay tuned.

Good evening. Its a beautiful tree. But I dont like the rest of the stump you left. it seems to me kind strangely. wouldnt be better to hollow there a little cavern? thanks for reply. Martin Cigánik, Czech Rep.

sure the stump looks quite ugly now. I think you don't understand that it does not matter what it looks liek now. It only counts wht it will look like in a few years. I am sure it will look fine. After the wood is dried I will burn it and then a natrual structure and color will come out. It is problematic to show such things to people who by lack of experience see what IS and not what WILL BE. One has to develop this ability to have a vison.
