On
a few forums we had discussions about deadwood on broadleaved deciduous
trees, also about big holes in trunks. We also had discussions about
very good vs. lousy material. Here is a field maple (syn. hedge maple)
which lost major branches after it was collected and finally was just a
very big ugly stump. Twenty years ago I had this stump sitting in the
dog part of my garden. A few friends came. One was not aware that i
heard them when he said to the group 'I really wonder why Walter would
keep this junk. This definitely will never be a bonsai'. Well, that's
exactly what it takes to make me move. I love to do impossible things.
Enjoy.
