Today I felt that it was a good time to do the straight spruce. Mid-August in my area is the best time to repot or collect spruce. The weather forecast is mixed, which is exactly what I want to hear. I would not want very hot and dry weather in the next two weeks. The small shrub is an Afghan lilac, a real botanical rarity.
