Walter Pall's main blog about bonsai and his work with trees from day to day. Lots of good pictures of good trees and lots of valuable information about bonsai.
Hi Walter,Is this just one snow fall? Or is this an accumilation of several storms. Great pictures of Harrisburg by the way. I enjoyed myself and hope to be there in the spring for Woodstock. Steve
Steve, this is the result of two days snowing. We don't call this 'storm' and it is not a storm. It quietly snows for a couple days and then you have this.
So this is where winter has been hiding out! Beautiful photos.
Mr. Pall:I always look forward to views of your garden in winter......the trees look well protected by the deep snow. In Chicago we have just set a record on Tuesday for our area......most days without snow, of any kind, 282. Of course it wont be long before it is -15F.Have always meant to ask.......do you add any heat to your greenhouse during extreme cold? Best regards,Daniel DolanMidwest Bonsai SocietyChicago
Daniel, sure I add some heat when it's definitely below freezing. but this often is only for a day or two.
