Japanese beech #2 new pot

A new pot for this Japanese beech, Fagus crenata. It is by John Pitt, England.

I personally liked the oval pot much better, but changing it into this pot with round corners is ok, just a matter of taste, same with the dark colour...

Walter, don´t you think the new pot is a little bit too small?

Marius,

the old pot was to small, too shallow it was. The new one has much more volume for soil and it appears larger because of the dark color which reflects the bark very well.

All a question of taste. Japanese trees in general have way too small pots for my taste.
