new mugo again

This one is in the box since a year. To really repot it was too dangerous. But it was possible to take off a lot off the debris on top and find a treasure. Lena was of great help.

Wonderful Mugo Walter.

Is the soil it is in all original or have you introduced some of your own mix? How do you make the transition from wild soil to bonsai mix?

Thanks,

Jeremy

Jeremy,

I certainly have intorduced some of my own substrate. About 70 % of the soil in the box had to go and I worked my substrate in. In two years I will do it again and plant the tree into a bonsai training pot with 80 to 90 % of my substrate.
