Wow - that's very impressive. I've seen you post other Prunus mahaleb around the web, but this is quite spectacular.

I am curious - is there a visible trunk chop on the apex, or has it healed over?

it does have a big scar at the top, but it is camouflaged well as you can see. This material comes from rather big trees that a friend of mine collects in the mountains. The original tree probably was around 5 meters high and the stump was only 50 cm high. this must leave a big scar.
