So you give same names to different trees? Or does #1 designate quality rather than a name?

I give names to the trees in my collection and some ouside that are interesting.

Then I have lots of trees avaialble for sale and trade. These also have names with numbers. They never have an# upfront. There are two lines which coexist and can indeed be the same numbers for different trees. Since nothing of my collection is for sale this does not constitute a problem - at least for me.

It might constitute a problem for people reading your blog: it's confusing. Or is the blog not meant for public? You might want to make it private then.
That being said, you could title all your posts "Japanese maple #1", even the Linden ones, for example. But that would be silly, wouldn't it?

Now I see what you mean. This was just a typo. Thanks for pointing it out to me . It was not number 1, but number 11. Alreday corrected.
