Your Pinus parviflora look great! Do you apply supplemental nutrients (beyond what's on sale at the time)? Also, have you learned anything new since your last posts about them?

I now NEVER feed organically. I add iron and rare supplements like mangan, bor etc. to normal chemical feed. That#'s it. and they look great and happy.

Walter hi! would you be able to give me some pointers on pines & junipers I seem to not be able to keep them alive. I live in a zone 5 area!

Jeff,

read bonsai books, join a bonsai club in your area. Learn horticulture thoroughly. If you cannot keep plants alive yo should not do bonsai. It has nothing to do with your area.
