Oriental hornbeam #45

Oriental hornbeam, Carpinus orientalis, collected in Croatia in 2013. Thomas and I brought the tree to a further state today. The huge wounds were carved, most were deeply hollowed. This will NOT harm the tree at all - believe me. Now the hornbeam will rest and get a second flush of growth. This will be cut by middele of June. The a third flush will be cut by beginning of August. In March of 2015 the whole tree will be wired in detail. In March/April of 2016 it will be planted into the final container.
