Mugo Pine #50 first part

Mugo pine, Pinsu mugo, collected in Italy in spring of 2009. In my garden since August 2009. This tree is very old, probably around 200 years. It is very complicated and a real challenge. The green is healthy, but there is not enough for reasonable styling. Nevertheless it is about time to start doing some serious work on the deadwood. Now is the time. Here how we started.

Inspiring trunk! Wow. Do mugos backbud very easily? I suppose one could graft foliage closer in?
