Black pine of my lifetime

This is an Austrian black pine, Pinus nigra Austraica, collected in Austria in 2006. There are not many of these in Austria despite the name. This is the best black pine material that I have ever seen and I am very happy that it found it's way into my garden. I don't think that I will ever get a better one. I will start to work on the deadwood very soon, before the snow comes. Reports will follow.

This one was stolen from my garden, so you have to bring it back - just kidding - absolutely beautiful!

Please post step by step pictures as you work on this tree.

I thought bonsai don't develop pine cones?

Michae, well, as you see they do, sometimes. This is the first black pine that I see doing this in large quantities. This is a good sign of health and age.
