European Beech #1 - now this tree really starts to please me. Of course the ugly guy wires spoil the picture enormously. But I sacrifice momentary beauty for future quality. The plan is to let the tree grow freely without any pinching in spring, cut back and do total defoliation by the end of June-, then let grow again and cut back severely two times.. In fall it should be much denser. The guy wires go off in February/March of 2022. And then the beech should shine. We'll see.
