The new stone pillars
The new stone pillars
For about 30 years I have used big logs to put my trees onto them. The logs were cheap because we are living right in the middle of the woods. They would be fine for four years usually. In the fifth year they started to decay and had to be renewed. Over all these years only a few minor accidents happened. Last year a mole found it a good idea to go under the logs. So a few fell over without warning and some caused damage. Anyway now I decided to make and end to this and purchased a few hundred cement rings to build stone pillars. Thomas and friend helped me to change most of the garden so far. This sure is a lot of work if one has hundreds of trees. Here some glimpses. Thank you Thomas!
