European spruce #61 second part

Then Jan and Walter worked on the deadwood for quite a while. Walter later finished the detailed work. WP edited the hole on one of the jins. The tree as result of all this work looks quite promising.
It will be left alone for tow years, watered and fed aggessively. Then the crown will be styled in stages. In four years it might go into a good bonsai pot.

European spruce #61 first part

European Spruce, Picea abies, collected in Italy in spring of 2010. Very old, probably around 200 years old. It found the way into my garden in August 2010.The crown was reduced very quickly.
In July of 2011 it was decided to drastically reduce the crown again and decide about the final form. Jan Schwope and Walter discussed the tree with WP and then went ahead to cut the larger part of the crown.
