Mugo pine #3

This tree makes me happy. Walter and I removed all the old needles and we took off the wire. Then I wired the tree for the third time. But only the small branches got wired in general. We are approaching maturity now. This tree will be exhibited at the EBA convention in Dusseldorf, Germany this coming October if I can arrange for transport. I have turned the tree counter-clockwise two hours and it seems even more interesting. The last image is a virtual as to how it would look with the same pot and new position. The very last image is as of may 1998. hard to believe.

European spruce #42

European spruce, Picea abies, third image as of September 2005 when I got it. I really start liking this by now.

European spruce # 63

European spruce, Picea abies, collected in October 2008 in the Alps. After two years it seems to be sort of established. So we decided to bring it one step further. Walter did all the deadwood work. In summer of 2013 I will probably style the crown. The decision has to be made whether it will have two tops or one and which one will have to go. Well, I have two years to think about it.
