After more than 16 hours on the road and in the air I am in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, USA already. Here at Nature's Way Nursery I will be very busy. About 60new trees are here and during the next days we will go through them in several workhsops and demos. This will be educational and fun for everyone, including me. Jim Doyle sells the trees, of course, but one does not have to purchase them. Just working with them is already a great experience.
At my gallery in OFFERS and there in American pines and American junipers one can see msot of the trees we are talking about here.
Next week on Thursday I will start to report about this.
Walter Pall's main blog about bonsai and his work with trees from day to day. Lots of good pictures of good trees and lots of valuable information about bonsai.

new Sctos pines
These are two Scots pines, Pinus sylvestris. They are very old and I like the movement and character of the trunks very much. These will become great bonsai. But at the moment they seem too weak to me to start working on them. They will have to gain health within the next three years. How? Water agressively at least once EVERY day, feeed aggressively every ten days with lots of nitrogene. Place in full sun.

cherry number 1 from Wolfgang Kaeflein
Today I came back for a very successful seminar at Wolfgang Kaeflien's place.
See here: travelogues
As always I could not resist and brought back with me a couple of trees. Here is cherry number 1, a huge Prunus mahleb. I will now leave the tree alone and in spring of 2010 I will start stlying.

About 50 new great trees in Harrisburg!!
Good news for all those who are thinking of coming to Nature's Way Nursery in the next weeks. On Thursday there will be about 50 NEW additional trees there. If you are seriously interested go to my gallery and to 'offers' there and click onto 'American Junipers' and 'American Pines'. There are quite a few killer trees there. But Jim Doyle will also have a few dozen affordable collected trees. So one can expect trees in the pr8ice range of 100, 150 200, 250, 300 and then , of course up to astronomical prices.
I hope to meet some folks in Harrisburg in the next ten days.
